Biography
Charles L. Breland is a school administrator with a passion for education excellence, a heart for students, and a great respect for the rights of parents to direct the educational priorities of their students. As a former teacher he understands the pressure that teachers face each day from burdens added from the state and federal levels. He is a firm supporter of local control of schools. He believes that an emphasis on getting back to basics and improving parental and teacher involvement in all aspects of a student’s education is imperative. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he is a product of the Greene County School System. Charles is married to the former Melissa Brownlee of Sand Hill, who is a Special Education Teacher at McLain School. They have four children: Sadie, Graham, Aidan, and CharLee.
